The environment and local communities
Here you will find an overview of publications dealing with the importance of voluntary organisations for local communities, local collaborative relationships between the authorities and voluntary organisations and voluntary work relating to environmental issues.
A large proportion of the Nordic research on this field consists of assessments and evaluations of public initiatives. Some of these publications present theoretical or commonly held opinions of the work done on a local level. Others look at trials with volunteer centres or deal more specifically with local collaboration between the authorities and organisations.
